Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata to Host Keynote Speaker Dr. Peter Kreeft at 2025 Inaugural Gala

Framingham, MA – December 9, 2024 - Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata, a new independent classical Catholic high school, is proud to announce on the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception, that Dr. Peter Kreeft, Professor of Philosophy at Boston College, will bethe keynote speaker at the school’s Inaugural Gala “Against the Current” on February 1, 2025, at the Boston Marriott Newton. 

“We are honored to welcome celebrated author and philosopher Dr. Peter Kreeft as our keynote speaker,” said Nathalie Calvo, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Chesterton. “Dr.Kreeft has been called the ‘Chesterton of our time’ and has written extensively on the richness and wisdom of classical education. We are humbled by his support of our efforts to open Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata in Massachusetts and look forward to coming together as a community to celebrate the importance of Catholic classical education.” 

Dr. Kreeft is an esteemed author, speaker, and expert on the writings of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. His works include Socratic Logic, A Summa of the Summa, Confessions of a Cafeteria Catholic, and Back to Virtue, among many others.

 "The spirit of Chesterton schools that is not only taught there but also caught like a good infection of the soul is the joyful marriage of faith and reason, heart and head, the practical and the contemplative, the divine and the human," said Professor Kreeft.

 The evening will feature the renowned G.K. Chesterton impersonator, John Walker. With over 40 years of experience in stage, television, and film, Walker is currently in his 10th season on EWTN’s Chesterton Station and teaches theatre at Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH.
